Finder has reached an important milestone in the Baltics. Following the opening of its subsidiary in Poland, and a logistics hub in Uruguay; in May of this year a new subsidiary was established in Lithuania, covering the Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and Finnish markets. These countries are traditionally linked economically and culturally, so it made sense to have a coordinated approach in the region – comprising markets that have great growth potential. The new subsidiary’s task is to take full advantage of all the opportunities in these markets, by offering technical support, logistic efficiency and market presence.
The birth of Finder Baltic
In March 2015, Andrej Ryskevic, general director of the automation and electrical component distributor Ratechna JSC contacted Finder’s headquarters to request the possibility of establishing a direct commercial relationship, with the prospect of becoming an official distributor. In the words of Andrej Ryskevic, now managing director of Finder Baltic: “I sent an email to export@findernet.com; and after a couple of weeks I got a reply from Rosetta Caserta, one of Finder’s export managers. I’m very grateful for her faith in me.”
A success story
After much correspondence over a period of a couple of months, Ratechna JSC placed its first direct order with Finder, after having secured a distribution agreement for the three Baltic states. In August 2017, after more than three years of collaboration, Finder decided to invest in the potential of the region and started plans for the establishment of its own subsidiary. The project was formally approved by Carlo Palmieri, Finder’s sales and marketing director – resulting in Finder Baltic UAB, which commenced trading in May 2018.
