For design engineers looking at applications, whether indoor or outdoor, to protect components against falling water/rain, UL Type rating is important.
UL Type 12 is common for most indoor applications. Now look towards applications to protecting against rain or in colder climates snow, sleet, and ice and most importantly UV radiation. UL Type 3 can offer the solution.
Expanding past the UL Type 12 Filter Fan range, 7F.20, 7F.21 and 7F.02, Finder introduces the new UL Type 3R fan versions. Available in 5 different sizes and a wide range of directional airflow to meet design needs.

AIR MOVEMENT – the best way to circulate air for specific application needs.
Moving air within the enclosure is important as is CFM. How will the air cycle? Draw-in cold air from the lower part of the enclosure out the top. Or perhaps use a reverse-flow fan and pull the air out of the enclosure.
The new UL Type 3R version offers both options. The 7F.30 is designed to draw air in and the 7F.31 is the reverse flow version to pull air out of the enclosure.
As with the entire 7F range, the new 7F.30, 7F.31 and 7F.03 maintenance is easy.
