In a place that has a mortality rate 99 times higher than that of Italy, the Anabah Maternity Center is the only hospital in the area dedicated to Maternal and Child Health. Since its foundation, the centre has carried out over 440,000 examinations – and over 65,000 children have been born within its walls. In addition, health centres and first aid centres have been established in the Panshir Valley in order to offer wider monitoring, assessment of care requirements and follow-up examinations.
