Finder joins the ZEROZEROTONER project
Finder has joined the ZEROZEROTONER project, an initiative of Berg Phi Srl, a leader in the collection and treatment of professional office waste.
Attention to the environment and to sustainability is an issue that not only concerns the manufacturing processes of a company, but is also relevant to its other departments and offices.
There are indeed a number of every-day office processes that we can turn into good habits. Using recycled paper, sorting recyclables effectively, reducing water and energy consumption, and printing only when strictly necessary are some examples of actions that can reduce the environmental impact throughout the working day.
Some waste products require a complex disposal process – and spent cartridges and toners fall into this category.
To manage this more effectively, Finder has joined the ZEROZEROTONER project, an initiative of Berg Phi Srl, a leader in the collection and treatment of professional office waste.
Through this initiative, toner cartridges taken from offices are sorted and, as specified on the Berg Phi Srl website, “… some are returned to manufacturers for reuse, while the remainder are shredded and separated into secondary raw materials (including iron, plastic, copper and aluminium) to be recovered and re-introduced into the market with an environmental impact of practically zero.”
To plant a tree, fill-up an EcoBox!
The project doesn’t end with just toner recovery and recycling, but together with environmental offset specialist PrintReleaf, also supports tree planting globally.
Finder has chosen Tanzania as its focus area, where in 2023, it signed up to a reforestation project.
