The range includes the new IECEx, ATEX (EX ec nC), HazLoc Class I Div. 2, Groups A, B, C, D – T4-compliant versions (Types 41.52-xx13 and 41.61-xx13), both of which offer a wide range of coil voltages (from 5 V DC … 110 V DC) for a wide variety of applications.
Technical spec:
– Type 41.52: 5.0 mm pin pitch – 2 x 8 A contacts – PCB mounting
– Type 41.61: 5.0 mm pin pitch – 1 x 16 A contact – PCB mounting
Devices with IECEx, ATEX and HazLoc certifications meet the most stringent safety requirements, ensuring that when in use they do not develop heat or create sparks that could cause explosions.
The 41 Series is suitable for use with cooling systems, heat pumps, furnaces and refrigerators – and more generally can be used where flammable or explosive gases are present. With IECEx certification, the products undergo testing by a third party, so they have all the required documentation. (This is a well-established practice for Finder, which also externally certifies all its ATEX products.)
Taking a broader view, IECEx, Ex, HazLoc-certified products are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres such as in pharmaceutical-related environments, including chemical plants, petrochemical plants, fuel stations, paint spray booths, and in many other applications.
The installation of these devices within electrical systems exposed to explosive vapours, gases and sprays contributes to the application meeting the level of safety required by industry standards.
