The control of electric blinds and shutters with Finder YESLY is now even smarter using new firmware that allows the user to command the blind or shutter to assume a percentage of the fully open position.
The latest firmware (v.16) for the Type 13.S2 shutter actuator is now available, facilitating partial opening of electric shutters and blinds. The firmware update is retrospective and therefore works with all existing, as well as new, Type 13.S2 actuators.
NB: This new function requires the correct setting of both the up and the down times for the roller shutter. This set-up procedure is intended for the expert technician and must be performed through the Finder Toolbox Plus App – created specifically for installers – available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
The ability to control electric blinds and shutters on a percentage basis allows for an ever smarter and more personalized integrated system of device control throughout the home.
Within the Finder YESLY app, and once the update has been performed, a new section dedicated to the time-based adjustment of electric blinds and shutters will be available.
Significant among the main innovations of the revised app is the ability to view the percentage open status of the shutter (up to 5 positions) directly from the home screen – much quicker than checking each actuator individually!
The new update also allows the creation of fully customized scenarios – such as those including partially opened blinds – and commands through your favourite voice assistant.
So just say “Alexa, open living room shutter to 20%” or “Hey Google, open all roller shutters” to achieve the desired effect.
The percentage open state is related to the full rise and fall times, and for this reason it’s important that these are accurately set for the electric roller shutter.
Once these times have been set, the YESLY system will calculate the time required for the percentage opening, and the Type 13.S2 will close the contact for the calculated time. At the end of its travel, the shutter’s open percentage value can be viewed within the App.
From the automation of electric blinds to the smart control of other devices and systems – such as lighting and climate control – Finder has a dedicated range of modular and integrable products to transform every home into a smart home.
